How does this calculator work?

The calculator asks four short questions about your project type, desired features, design level and complexity. Based on that we show an indicative range for app development cost or custom software. The ranges are based on over sixty projects MG Software has delivered in recent years, adjusted for inflation and market trends in 2026. Treat the result as a first budget orientation; for a final quote we schedule a short intake to refine technical choices and scope.

What is included in the price?

The range covers design, frontend, backend, testing and deployment, plus a buffer for unforeseen features. Excluded are third-party licences (such as SaaS tools or paid APIs), large-scale legacy data migrations and extensive content creation. Monthly hosting costs and post-launch development are scoped separately. During the intake we go through each component to confirm whether it is relevant for your project, so you do not see line items in the quote that you turn out not to need.

How accurate is the estimate?

The calculator is meant as a budget indication, not a fixed quote. For MVPs with a clear scope the deviation is usually within ten to fifteen percent of the final quote. For more complex systems with integrations or AI components the gap can grow, because technical choices only become clear during the discovery phase. Answer the questions as precisely as you can; when in doubt, pick the higher complexity level so you are not caught off guard later.
